Lend A Friend is a local unregistered NDIS provider in Adelaide with a big dream. We want to see the loving care one would expect from family and friends, accessible to all people who have a disability. By getting to know our Participants, and multi step interviewing procedure with our Helpers, we are confident we can match you with a Helper who is better suited to your needs.
We have Helpers who can assist with a variety of disability services, from core services of Community Support, Activities of Daily Living Support, to more specialised services like Psychological Therapy and Social Worker Management.
While Adelaide based, we accept expressions of interest from people seeking work or support in all Australian cities. Good quality care should not be so hard to find, and we believe joining Lend A Friend will help you find it!
Meet the Director
Working as an NDIS support worker since 2016, and with formal training to match, Nick has the understanding and experience needed to train Helpers to provide the quality care he has provided to participants for years.
Quality care needs to be focused around the Participant and their needs. Before we pair you with a Helper, we make sure to understand your needs, work together to make your Help Plan, and make sure to keep you and your goals in mind.
Accountability
We have behavioural policies which guide all Helpers toward best practice. Even so, we believe one of the best way to ensure consistent quality care is to focus on the value of personal accountability. We encourage our Helpers to celebrate victories, and take ownership of shortcomings, so mistakes are learnt from and quality improves.
Growth Mindset
We believe in continued learning and improvement, so we can become the best version of ourselves. We hope to help our NDIS participants to adopt this mindset and help them to become the best versions of themselves
Mateship
True to the name Lend A Friend, we emphasis the importance of treating each other as friends. A good friend will lift you up when you are down, will listen and provide genuine advice when asked for, and treats you like an equal and with respect.
What Our NDIS Participants Say
School work can be extra tricky for someone on the spectrum. With Kerry and the Lend A Friend team's help my daughter was able to get through primary school and start high school. Her mentoring, tutoring and knowledge in ASD and SACE subject material has really helped our family ~ NH
Without Kerry I dont think we would pass this year
Jack is a really friendly and supportive young man who has helped my son work on his passions, improve his fitness, and increase his motivation. I highly recommend working with Jack and doing one of his workout routines! ~ KB
A Friendly mentor
We have been working with Nick and other members of the Lend A Friend team for over 6 years, and will keep them as our mentors for as long as they will have us! Jeremy has come such a long way from the social support provided by Lend A Friend. From overcoming fears, to gaining independent living skills and feeling happier with life ~ Stace
Reliable, helpful and empathetic
